With the release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided just a few months away, fans are in store for another paranoia-stoking viral marketing campaign, similar to the one that preceded the 2011 release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

It's hard to believe that it has been nearly five years since the release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the modern-day masterpiece that revitalized the series. As we look forward to the release of its followup, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, we want to take a look back at the last game and celebrate what made it so special.
In collaboration with our friends at Square Enix, we've created a Fannotated version of the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution CGI trailer. The trailer premiered exactly six years ago to the day, on March 12, 2010.

Bad news, everyone. A blog post from David Anfossi, the head of Eidos Montréal, revealed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the hotly anticipated followup to 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been delayed six months and won't be available until August 23rd, 2016. Anfossi explained that the extra time would be spent making a variety of improvements to the game in the hopes that the final product will be as good as possible upon release.
While this probably comes as a bit of a disappointment for gamers awaiting Adam Jensen's next cybernetic foray into Deus Ex's seedy underworld, gamers can find peace of mind in knowing the team will use the time wisely to fine-tune the experience.
