Vinny is a Marine who works at the Advanced Submarine Base of the Brooklyn Naval Shipyards.
Biography[]
Vinny is pushed off-duty when the shipyard was taken over by FEMA. FEMA had forced the shipyard's troops out of the main submarine hangar and set up a perimeter. Vinny feels that something is amiss when a top-secret base is being commandeered. In actuality, FEMA had taken control of the submarine base on behalf of Majestic 12 in order to secretly house a freighter that had arrived from Hong Kong with a large shipment of the Gray Death virus.
Vinny is also an old friend of Sandra Renton, a high school classmate of his. After being pushed off-duty, Vinny received a pass from FEMA for the martial law curfew and decided to visit Sandra at the tavern. According to Sandra, Vinny is simple, but a good guy.

Other interactions[]
Vinny is encountered in the Underworld Tavern during the 7th mission, which takes place during JC Denton's third and final visit to Hell's Kitchen. If spoken to, Vinny will tell JC that he is here to see Sandra. Vinny's dialogue will be different if Sandra is dead or has left town.
VInny will also talk about the situation at the shipyard and say that he and his friends are wondering what is going on. JC Denton can agree to "check it out" for Vinny or decline to do so.
- If JC agrees to help (by choosing the dialogue option "I would, too. Maybe I'll check it out for you."), in the next mission at the shipyard, the soldiers at the front gate will be friendly instead of hostile, and will open the gate for JC to pass through. JC will also receive the assistance from a mechanic inside the submarine hangar building. Additionally, the player receives 100 skill points.
- Alternatively, if JC declines to help, the 100 bonus skill points will not be given, and JC will receive no assistance from Vinny's friends at the shipyard.
