If Deus Ex: Human Revolution is pre-ordered for a certain platform from the proper retailers in certain countries, the game will come packaged with certain bonuses exclusive to one or shared by many versions. There are currently 5 known pre-order packs. The Explosive Mission Pack and the Tactical Enhancement Pack were later made available for independent purchase through Steam, the Xbox Live Marketplace, and the PlayStation Network, making all in-game pre-order content unlockable for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players, respectively.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition was released on Mac OS X as Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition, a complete version of the game containing all DLC and expansion packs. It was developed and published by Feral Interactive on March 26, 2012.^[7] To date, the Ultimate Edition has only been released on the Mac. It contains:
