Prior to joining Task Force 27, Aria Argento used to serve a stint in the United States Marine Corps until her transfer.
Due to a rare genetic mutation, Aria rejects her arm implant more quickly compared to a regular augmentee, especially when she is placed under stress. As a result, her system requires a higher-than-normal intake of Neuropozyne, which soon proved impractical, unsafe and uneconomic to have her serve as a full-time field agent.
As of 2029, Aria is the quartermaster in Task Force 29 Headquarters, Prague. She also supervises the shooting range, and gives Task Force agents tips on weapon usage. Apart from Adam Jensen, Aria is the only augmented member of the TF29 team. However, unlike Jensen, she is not given permission to serve as a field agent. However, if you talk with her after G.A.R.M., she will excitedly tell Adam she has been cleared for the field and has been assigned to Duncan MacReady's team. She reveals Mac actually recommended her and told her she shoots better than anyone on his team.
- Aria is one of the only other known American Task Force 29 employee besides Jensen.
- If Adam got to TF29 without setting off any alarms after G.A.R.M., she will make an appropriate comment about it. However, perhaps due to a bug, if you talk to her after you talked with Miller or the second time, she will act like you set off alarms and/or killed cops while getting there.
- Aria apparently is part-Italian as evident by her surname (silver in Italian) and the poster of Tuscany in her office. Also, her name is very similar to Asia Argento, an Italian actress.
